blog post #18
Hey girls!
Easter weekend went off without a hitch here (and hopefully for you too)! I had Friday off of school since it was Good Friday so I went home on Thursday night and hung out with my sister (we watched a movie and tie-died some t-shirts) and then came back to school on Friday afternoon. When I got back to school two of my friends were here so we went across the street by the canal and threw a frisbee and a football around for a couple hours. Once we became tired and hungry we decided to go back to residence, change and then go downtown to the market for dinner. We chose the Blue Cactus once we were downtown and, it might be because I was starving, but this was one of the best restaurants I've ever been too! The food was SO DELICIOUS! The next day the weather was gorgeous again so we went downtown again and walked around the market (during the day this time) and then around parliament. By the time Sunday rolled around my dad had offered to have a barbeque and I could invite a friend over so we went home and spent the day playing outside and eating food from home (much better than the caf food of course). My parents even made extra food for me to take back to school (and once my guy friends had their way with it, the food lasted 2 days).
That about sums up my Easter weekend for this year (which ended on Sunday as I had class on Monday). I got my mechanics midterm back on Monday morning and I didn't do terrible (not amazing but not terrible) so my mood was kind of indifferent on Monday. I get my programming lab final grade back tomorrow and yes I am VERY nervous! It's the first time I can remember that I'd rather not know my final mark...
All I've been doing this week is studying so there isn't really anything exciting to report there. The only news I have is that today in the caf I was pasta-ed (i.e. covered in pasta). As I was reaching for the coleslaw, somebody turned around and started walking without looking where they were going and hit my plate into the air causing all the pasta and tomato sauce on the plate to land on me. I was definitely not pleased (as well as a little embarrassed) and had to wash my clothes twice to get the sauce out of them. Hopefully that'll be my first and last caf spill of the year...
