The end of a busy week

blog post #3

Hey girls!

I've been so busy I didn't even realize how long it's been since I updated my blog so here comes a new one...

My week has basically consisted of a chemistry lab and calculus studying. Tomorrow my formal lab is due in chemistry (we only have one but it's worth 5% of my final grade as far as I know) and this morning I had a calculus test. I think my test went better than last time (thank god) so maybe the previous one won't count (my calculus test only counts the best 3 of 5 tests) which would be great! In between doing my lab and studying I had a few visits from my mom (she brought me food and took me shopping for my dad's birthday) so that helped distract me a little and gave me a break from schoolwork.

Other than school and visits from my mom I haven't had too much time as I've been going through an interview and info-session process for a job I'm hoping to get this summer. It sounds lame, I know, but the job is managing a window cleaning team. After going to a couple info-sessions it seemed like a cool summer job with lots of independence and challenges (more than your average retail or restaurant job) so I thought I'd apply and I had an interview on Tuesday and then I have one again later today. Tuesday was the first time I'd ever been interviewed so I was really nervous but it really wasn't that bad so I'm more relaxed this time. I'll find out by tomorrow if I got the job so wish me luck!

I'm going home this coming weekend for my dad's birthday so I won't have a crazy exciting weekend but I think I'm going to get a lot of work done - I have two math tests next week and a film test (yes, film studies is my elective...) at the end of the month so I want to start studying for that and I have to catch up on reading for my ECOR class. I'm going out on Friday night though with my friends so I can burn off some steam before my crazy weekend and then on Sunday night me and my family are going to see The Rockettes at Scotiabank Place (me and my sister are dancers so we're really excited). Looks like the two most entertaining events bookend the weekend! One more good thing about going home - I won't be eating cafeteria food for a couple days and I get to sleep in my big and comfy bed!

I'm out for now but I'll write soon!
