Semester's coming to a close (with lots of work!)

Hey girls!

I don't think I've ever had so much to do in my whole life as I have the past week and a half. I assumed that because I had no more math tests that I would have more time but as it turns out the opposite is true. Last week I had a final project in ECOR due that's worth 10% of my grade and my group finished and passed in the project on Thursday night (a day early) so that was nice to get out of the way but then I had to do my chemistry prelab for the next day which consisted of 44 titration calculations. Then I go out on Friday night and I ended up dropping my OHIP card so I have to call for a new one (not a big deal I know but it's just one more thing I have to worry about) Yesterday (Saturday), I spent 4 hours in a computer lab trying to figure out a lab for my ECOR class and today all I did was study for a film test I have tomorrow night and try to complete WorkSmart Campus for my ECOR class which is due on Friday. I have a lab exam on Friday too so I only have one week to finish my current chemistry lab instead of two like normally and I have to prepare for the lab exam of course. Then once this film test, WorkSamrt Campus and chemistry preparations are out of the way I have to do some linA and calculus homework, start a film essay that's due on the first day back from the break and start study for my exams (especially chemistry and ECOR because they fall on the first and third day of exams). I am so swamped with work and to top it all off I had to pass up free box seats for tonight's Lady Gaga concert with four of my friends from school to do this homework!

As much as all this sucks I have to look at the silver lining and realize that actual school and learning will be over for the semester in a week and a half and then I can really focus on exams. I have such a spread out exam schedule (I have an exam on the 9th, 11th, 18th and 21st of December) that I know I'll have plenty of time to study but it also means that I'm not done exams until pretty late. I know I'm not the only one going through this stress right now but I'm still feeling very overwhelmed. I locked myself in my room all day today and only went out for food actually and a small hot chocolate break with my roommate. She's adopted the same methods for studying and even though some people say that the arts aren't very hard, she works like crazy and has an obscene amount of essays and papers and assignments due last week and the week coming up.

Unfortunately today's blog wasn't crazy exciting or full of fun and amazing things I've done lately but to be honest, I haven't had the time to do anything super amazing lately (except Thursday was my best friend's birthday so we went out for dinner at Jack Astor's and it was so delicious). I'm just going to have to power through the work and know that there's light at the end of the tunnel. I know that I really want to succeed in my program so I'm determined to not give up. If you have any questions about the workload I'm dealing with or anything else just leave a comment and I'll get back to you!
